Three years ago today, me and the most wonderful person I’ve ever had the fortune to meet were stood in a car park in New Jersey watching some of our favourite bands cover songs by some of our other favourite bands.
That was the start of a ridiculous three years where we’ve traveled from north to south, east to west and even by air in search of good jagermeister, good music and good times. We’ve met some amazing people, discovered some amazing places and generally just had a blast and - for me, at least - it seemed like a good time to cement this chapter of my life the best way I know how.
Somewhere along this way we came across Young Guns. I cannot actually put in to words what joy that band have given me and how much their music means. When I got my hands on Bones earlier this year, this song was instantly a favourite as it just epitomised everything I love about our escapades. We always joke that we are sisters-from-another-mister and so for it to be from Brother In Arms just felt so appropriate.
Massive props to Christan Holmes for my foot and Charlotte’s arm, and for putting up with us ‘til way after they should have closed.
I wouldn’t change a thing.
